August (Augie) Hoerrner is a true New Yorker – he was born in Queens and lived in NYC all his adult life, as well as spending summers in the Hamptons. In 2018 he and his wife moved full time to Southampton. Over the course of a distinguished career on Wall Street Augie became known as a fierce competitor and gained an impeccable reputation built on trust and honesty. He served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1969. Career highlights include a long tenure with Chapdelaine and Company, one of the largest inter-dealer brokers, where he worked his way up to serve 20 years as President. He has trained, managed and supervised hundreds of employees. Augie has also owned several businesses and homes in the Hamptons. He bought his first house in the Hamptons in 1980 and his first business - the Patio restaurant in Westhampton Beach Village - in 1982.

Augie brings his extensive business expertise and broad network of contacts to his real estate practice. He is known for his knowledge and enthusiasm, and impeccable customer service. When he takes on a task he sees it to completion. Honesty and integrity are hallmarks of his real estate practice, "I don't move the ball in the rough," he says. Augie's customers and clients rely on his clear communication and full transparency during transactions.

Outside the office Augie is an avid golfer, a member of Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Southampton, since1974, and was formerly a longtime member of Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck. He has played golf around the world, both competitively and for pleasure. Active in charitable causes, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan PGA Foundation (their Pro-Am tournament is called "the Augie"). The Foundation supports golfing programs for veterans, junior players (7 to 18 years old) and for the underserved. Augie ran the fundraising arm for the Wall Street Charity Fund, and monies raised went to support a summer camp program for developmentally disabled children. He was recently honored by the PGA with the Sam Snead Award for his contributions to the game of golf.
