Jon and Joan Gruen have close to 20 years of residential and commercial real estate experience.

As a real estate Renaissance man, Jon has owned homes, business and commercial real estate in the East End since the 1970s. He was the former president and founder of Gruen Optika (a chain of luxury eyewear stores). After selling his business in 2001, he has enjoyed working full time as a successful East End real estate broker. He is great at determining property value and providing builders and investors with accurate building costs.

Joan has been a successful real estate broker in NYC for over a decade and now she works with Jon here on the East End. Her transaction skills in the Big Apple have been honed by complicated Coop and Condo deals where purchasers depend on a seasoned broker to help them go through the labyrinth of paperwork. International purchasers found her to be a smart navigator in choosing and facilitating their investments and home purchases. Joan has a clear understanding of what is required in purchasing primary and secondary as well as investment properties.

Second home buying or selling is a large portion of what the Gruen Team does here on eastern Long Island.

Jon is fluent in German and Spanish.
