Mark and his wife, Gaby, were introduced to the Hamptons by friends in the early 1980s. They loved being out East so much that they bought property in Bridgehampton in 1984, upon which they built their first Hamptons home. Over the years the Hamptons became an integral part of their family's life and much more than merely a second home. They love the natural beauty, the opportunity to participate in outdoor activities (particularly golf, and for Mark, biking), and the entire relaxed, but lively, social scene offered by the Hamptons.
With retirement from the practice of law approaching and their children grown, Mark and Gaby decided to build a new home on their property in Bridgehampton, which could accommodate children and grandchildren (they now have two beautiful grandsons) as well as their hope to spend more time out East.
Never one to sit still, Mark decided to embark on a second career as a real estate broker in the Hamptons. He chose Saunders because of the firm's philosophy of empowering and supporting its brokers with the best in-house administrative, legal and marketing support teams in the business. My legal experience has taught me that having strong backup is key to allowing your professionals (in this case our brokers) to do the best job possible for their clients. I look forward to helping my clients sell their homes, or find their perfect home or rental.
In addition to pursuing a new career, Mark and Gaby remain very active in philanthropic causes. Mark is a Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of God's Love We Deliver, a major New York City charity which in 2016 prepared over 1,400,000 nutritionally tailored meals and delivered them to persons who are homebound and in need due to serious illness. Mark is also a member of the Northeast Advisory Board of the American Friends of Magen David Adom, Israel's national ambulance and blood bank service.
